A little about me…
I believe everyone has a psychic story.
I have one, and I’ll bet you have one, too.
I’ve been a pediatric medical professional for twenty years, and have always been a deeply spiritual person. Being involved in animal rescue as well as therapy dog work, especially visiting hospice patients with our certified therapy dogs, has kept me in close proximity to the important things in life: what we are meant to accomplish on our mission here on Earth. Seeing people during their last moments in life reflecting on the big things in their life — their joys, their regrets, their families and loves, their desires and dreams — has taught me much about how to live my own life. Life is precious, and understanding how our behavior patterns impact our actions can make very dramatic changes in our outcomes.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve had psychic flashes, precognitive dreams and intuitive experiences, and an inner sense of knowing, but I did not know how to harness it. It more or less would hit me in the face every once in awhile, unexpectedly and uncontrollably. I was able to look at a knot in a wooden wall and see a face form, or look at a tree trunk or a wrinkle in a blanket and see someone’s features develop and then fade.
Being from a strict Roman Catholic upbringing, I did not know this was a form of scrying. As a matter of fact, I did not hear the word “scry” until I was in my 30s. My spirituality grew and shifted as I matured and I learned about so many spiritual truths later in life that astounded me and shifted and expanded my spiritual direction, and I found that I then felt like I fit into my own skin.
When I became certified in Quantum Touch Healing and then later was attuned to Usui Reiki, I soon found myself on a deeply intuitive journey that was opened up to me through these healing energies.
I received a surprise one day with a trip to a psychic. She stopped in the middle of the reading, looked up from her table and told me, “You can do this, you know.”She taught me how to read stones that day, and I’ve never looked back since. I bought my first tarot deck that day, but it took me almost another year before I was able to understand the power of this deck.
I received a powerful message from my passed grandfather, my kindred spirit, in a very intense and emotional dream visitation. He told me clearly, “You do not need to go through a medium to see me. You can do this directly… yourself.” And he gave me a huge, soul-deep hug. It took me another two years of development and growing to fully respect his message in the way it was intended.
When I finally met Tarot and began to uncover its ancient mysteries, I learned that this is a powerful and wise voice where Spirit becomes immediately accessible to us through our subconscious, leading us toward our best Self. Tarot is often misunderstood, and it can be used in even the most respected professional psychology sessions. Tarot really opened up my intuition and a whole new world (literally — the other dimension) became available to me. I suddenly became very sensitive intuitively. I was now able to harness something on which I’d previously only had a loose hold. And Spirit had a LOT to say. I was then on a trip into mediumship that shifted my life experience in a profoundly powerful way. I will always be grateful for the journy Tarot has brought me on. It is a kind and wise resource that I wish was part of every school’s curriculum. We have so much to learn from it.
My new mantra became: “Praying is talking to God/Spirit. Meditating is giving Spirit the respect of listening for an answer.” There is so much wisdom available to us. Just like in our third dimensional world here on Earth, learning from Spirit can only happen by listening. Meditation became a powerful connector for me and symbols and sounds and smells are very much a part of my inner world and communication with Source.
I had some fun taking psychic development classes with friends and quickly learned that when I did meditations on people, I was able to clearly see very specific symbols and angels around them as well as their Spirit Guides; also I found validating information coming through about the people I read, including names and descriptions of people in their life as well as passed loved ones. This was an amazing learning experience for me (can everyone do this?!?!), and seeing angels was a particular surprise ~ because before this was opened up to me I was not so sure angels really existed. I thought they were just metaphors for Spirit. I learned that they do exist! Angels are a wonderful energy of limitless and unconditional love and light, and our Guides have specific purposes and agendas for us, to help us create our life and become our Highest Good. They are very much embedded in our Life Purpose.
About my art:
I was always artistic when I was young, and in high school the art teacher developed an advanced art study hall class just for me. I was the only student who took “Art 5″ because I started a year early. I remember once I drew a picture of a baby raccoon on a tree branch, and after working on each blade of fur diligently for weeks and adding sparkle to its eyes, I was devastated to find one day near its completion that someone had stolen it. My teacher put her arm around me and assured me: “Well, you just received the biggest compliment an artist can receive. Someone wanted it that badly.” She was the best teacher ever. In even that situation, I found love and support through her.Teachers can change lives.
I put my love of portraiture aside when I entered college, then graduate school, and then the working world and the busy pace of family life. I actually forgot that I used to draw, so when I tried describing to people the loved ones I saw around them during readings, it became very frustrating if they had two relatives who looked similar. Finally it hit me during one reading….why am I not just drawing them? Explanations are not precise: brown hair, square jaw…that could describe anyone. Drawings are very precise and clear.
I took a trip to the local art store, stocked up on art supplies, and re-taught myself the dimensions of facial anatomy so that I could measure what I saw with precise accuracy again. I did forget much of what I used to know, and at first my pictures looked very primitive, wobbly, cartoonish and child-like, but within three days of practice, I was as good as, if not better than, I used to be in high school.
The channeled messages I receive from guides and angels during the process of drawing are very powerful and can be life-changing to the recipient. Drawing puts me into a deep state of concentration and meditation. During this time, images and feelings and words and fragrances enter into my conscious awareness. These are important messages that often go on for pages, and I do write them down as they come. And because I put the messages in writing, they can be re-read and kept for a lifetime of reference.
My credentials and intuitive volunteer work:
I am a proud member of the American Tarot Association (ATA) and am a Certified Professional Tarot Reader (CPTR) through the Tarot Certification Board of America. I have studied under Certified Tarot Grand Masters at The Tarot School (located in NYC), as well as with The American Tarot Association (ATA). I have also enjoyed writing as a contributor to Tarosophy International Magazine, the American Tarot Association’s Quarterly Journal, as well as the ATA’s Tarot Reflections Newsletter.
I am an Experienced Reader on the ATA’s Free Tarot Network and a Senior Reader on the ATA’s Free Reading Network. I also provide mentorship to adult tarot students learning the ancient art of Tarot. I love watching people experience Tarot for the first time as a reader and I share their excitement.
I have a very strong code of ethics which you can view here, and I constantly expanding the breadth of my Tarot knowledge though study and experience.Tarot is not something to be learned in a day, a week, a month, or even a year. Tarot is a lifetime of experiential learning and wisdom.
I have had two Reiki Attunements and I am certified in Quantum Touch Healing.
I am likely best known for the work I do on the award-winning Tarot Tribe (Beyond Worlds) Radio Podcast at www.TarotTribe.com. If you’d like to learn tarot, or if you already read tarot and want to become an even better reader or use systems you’ve not yet tried, we work with the world’s premiere tarot leaders to make tarot accessible to the world. It’s completely free, and we focus on quality tarot education and a community for serious readers. I co-host with three dynamic and well-known tarot readers, and we each read tarot a little differently (but with much overlap). Listeners can hear good tarot variety while finding new systems to add to their on reading style. View all the shows we’ve done to date HERE. Come learn with us!
Unrelated to my psychic work, I do full-time work in a pediatric medical profession for which I have an advanced college degree. This occupation is something else I feel very passionate about and know I am meant to be doing. We learn so much through children. We owe them the best lives we can give them.
I am a devoted mom and wife, and have been involved in animal rescue. My little furry kindred spirit, Gizz, is a dog I’ve spent many lifetimes with. Until I was reconnected with him, I was on a search for something without an answer. When I found him, I was home again. I have had other dogs and will have other dogs in the future. But I will never have another Gizz in this lifetime. I wish everyone could experience a soul bond like this. Gizz was born with 3 legs, and one of his remaining front legs is deformed. He is an ambassador for “Better-than-Perfect” dogs, and has volunteered as a certified therapy dog in hospice and for group homes. He is my hero. He has no idea he has limitations, he just GOES! Isn’t this a lesson for all of us?
Learning to hear the obvious:
Another piece of useless trivia about me: twenty years ago I memorized more than 300 bird songs and bird calls of Northeastern wild birds and I can identify wild birds quickly, completely by ear. Not only has this assisted the Audubon Society for fund-raisers, it has also deeply enhanced my connection with Mother Earth and with the voice of The Creator. I am always connected with what surrounds me. I find it amusing to go birding (bird watching) with friends and watch them trying to figure out what is flitting above the leaves with their binoculars fixated in an “up” position. Because when the bird lets out one chirp, the gig is up. I know the genus of the bird. Is that psychic? No. But it sure is a ton of fun! However, it also shows that when something is right in front of us and all the signs are there…often we don’t stop to hear the obvious. So much passes us every day that is right before us. And that is where it ties in with my intuitive world. We all have a sixth sense, but we tend to push it aside. I finally just decided to listen.
May you hear it, too.
May you become all that you were meant to be.
